Private promoters seeking to acquire the Los Angeles Raiders for Sacramento want Sacramento city and county to provide $40 million of the $50 million envisioned as a cash inducement to lure the National Football League team, according to a copyrighted story in the Sacramento Bee. The story said that Gregg Lukenbill, head of the private Sacramento Sports Assn., envisioned his group financing the construction $100-million stadium and $10 million of the cash payment to the Raiders. But the article said the group is asking for a $1 stadium admissions tax plus $1.7 million a year in city and county funds for 20 years for debt service on the other $40 million of the cash payment. The promoters recently increased their cash offer to Raiders owner Al Davis from $36 to $50 million.
