Glenn Healy, the goalie who won 25 games for the Kings last season before the trade that brought Kelly Hrudey from the Islanders to take over as the Kings’ top goaltender, signed with the Islanders as a free agent.
As compensation, the Islanders gave the Kings a fourth-round draft pick in 1990.
Healy, 26, was signed by the Kings as a free agent in June 1985. In his two seasons, Healy appeared in 83 games. He had a record of 37-37-3.
