BEIJING — Ten people accused of joining in pro-independence rioting in Tibet in March have been sentenced to prison, the People’s Daily said Monday.
The sentences, issued July 29, are for three years or less, the Communist Party newspaper said.
The three days of violent anti-Chinese protests in the Tibetan capital of Lhasa left 16 people dead and 100 injured.
