Sylmar’s Rayner Shows Consistency at Encino

Matt Rayner of Sylmar placed third in two senior-division races for men aged 18 to 30 Saturday night at the Encino Velodrome.
Rayner placed third at both 750 meters and 4,000 meters. John Walsh of Torrance won the 750-meter race followed by Steve Stonebreaker of New Orleans. Chris Gaido of Pittsburgh won at 4,000 meters followed by Walsh and Rayner.
In the women’s senior division, Pam Deem of San Pedro won at 750 meters followed by Joyce Tyler and KC Kobrin, both of West Los Angeles.
