SACRAMENTO — San Francisco Mayor Art Agnos has agreed to pay a $7,000 fine for failing to disclose $441,521 in income he received as a state assemblyman in 1986.
The fine also covers his failure to properly identify the source of 325 letters mailed out in support of a local ballot measure in favor of bringing the battleship Missouri to San Francisco last year.
The fine was reported Friday by the state’s political watchdog agency, the Fair Political Practices Commission, in a tentative settlement between Agnos and the commission staff.
The settlement is to be voted upon at the commission’s Aug. 15 meeting.
