REAL ESTATE : Kitchell Contractors of Irvine Names James W. Howard as New President

James W. Howard, vice president of Kitchell Development Co., was named president of Kitchell Contractors in Irvine.
He succeeds Greg Denk, who was promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer of Kitchell Corp., the contractor’s parent company in Phoenix.
Denk is credited with taking Kitchell Contractors’ California revenue from $30 million in 1980 to the more than $120 million projected for 1989. That makes it one of the county’s five largest contractors, according to the company.
Howard, employed at Kitchell since 1980, will oversee such construction projects as Irvine City Hall, Western Digital’s new headquarters in Irvine and Fiesta Marketplace in Santa Ana.
