Five employees of a Ford Motor Co. subsidiary in La Mirada have been arrested on drug charges after a three-month undercover investigation, authorities say.
Four men and one woman who worked at Predelivery Service Corp. were booked for investigation of narcotics sales over the last two weeks and released, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
The suspects were identified as Juan Abreau, 36, of Buena Park; Rose Armenta, 33, of La Mirada; Domingo Bastanchury III, 42, of Chino Hills; David Estrada, 45, of Anaheim, and Guy Grahados, 32, of Norwalk.
Company officials initiated the investigation with the Sheriff’s Department, said Robert Garber, the firm’s manager. Sheriff’s narcotics detectives also worked with private investigators who made undercover drug buys in the plant, deputies said.
The plant, which employs about 120 people, prepares Ford automobiles for delivery to dealerships. The five employees arrested have been fired, Garber said.
