Several months of undercover investigation has led to a lawsuit against a Mission Hills adult bookstore.
A suit filed Thursday by the city attorney’s office in Los Angeles Superior Court named the Talk of the Valley Bookstore, 15452 Devonshire St., and its owners, Frederick Alfano and Michael H. Colella. It charged them with allowing lewd conduct and solicitation for lewd conduct in and near booths used by patrons to view pornographic films.
The investigation was started by undercover police officers in January. It led to 14 arrests for lewd conduct and solicitation, said Mike Qualls, a spokesman for the city attorney’s office.
He said the office plans to seek a pretrial court order imposing strict rules on the bookstore’s operation.
