NATION : Ex-Admiral Sworn as NASA Chief

WASHINGTON — As President Bush looked on, former Navy Vice Adm. Richard Truly was sworn in today as administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the first former astronaut to hold the job.
Vice President Dan Quayle administered the oath.
It was the second oath Truly has taken for the job. He was sworn in quietly a week earlier by Howard Robins Jr., another NASA official, so that the agency would no longer be without an administrator.
