About 20,000 homes were blacked out in the last hour of the National Basketball Assn. finals game at the Forum Tuesday night when a cable line was severed, cutting service to the Eagle Rock, Highland Park and Lincoln Heights areas of Los Angeles.
Bill Rosendahl, president of Century Cable, said his company’s service was interrupted at 7:40 p.m. when a cable a Mt. Washington receiving station was cut.
Some customers missed the end of Game 4 of the Lakers-Detroit Pistons series, which was won by the Pistons in four games. Rosendahl said service was restored by 8:45 p.m.
