Re “Sunday in the Parks With Calendar,” in the Summer Splash pages of May 28:
As a single parent with three children I have been trying to save enough money to go to Disneyland for years. The quality of the rides, food, etc, make no difference to me if I can’t afford to get into the park! Entrance fees and a meal would cost over $100.
When I was a child in Brooklyn, I used to watch Walt Disney on TV when the park was being built. It was my dream to take my children there someday. I wonder if the present situation is what Walt had in mind. He seemed to have the happiness of the children foremost in his plans, and not the almighty buck.
