ST. LOUIS — Peter O’ Sullivan, who has held top editorial positions at the Houston Post and Toronto Sun, today was named managing editor of the new daily newspaper, the St. Louis Sun, the newspaper’s publisher said.
O’Sullivan, 40, will be responsible for the day-to-day editorial management of the morning tabloid scheduled to debut in September, said Thomas Tallarico, publisher of the newspaper owned by Ingersoll Publications Co.
The St. Louis Sun is expected to challenge the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. St. Louis has been without daily newspaper competition since the St. Louis Globe-Democrat folded in 1986.
