A mild earthquake sent slight tremors through northern Orange County and elsewhere in the Southland late Saturday night. No injuries or damage was reported, officials said.
The quake, centered about a mile northwest of Brea, hit at 11:07 p.m. Saturday and measured 3.7, according to seismologists at the Caltech Seismology Laboratory in Pasadena.
It was reportedly felt from northern Orange County and throughout the San Fernando Valley.
“We didn’t have any real problems,” said Lt. Harold Schaffrotch of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. “We got a couple of phone calls from the north county asking if we had had an earthquake, but that was really about it.”
