Thousand Oaks Dominates League Swim Finals

David Dickson and Lauren Droshe each won two events to lead Thousand Oaks High to the boys’ and girls’ championships in the Marmonte League swim finals Friday at Rancho Simi Pool in Simi Valley.
Dickson won the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 46.90 seconds) and 500 freestyle (4:48.27). Droshe took the 50 freestyle (24.65) and 100 backstroke (1:00.95).
Chris McClain of Newbury Park also won two events in the boys’ meet: the 50 freestyle (21.59) and 100 freestyle (48.48). Mark Johnson of Thousand Oaks won the 100 backstroke in 57.91.
Shauna MacEwen was a double winner for Westlake, claiming the 200 freestyle (1:54.36) and 500 freestyle (5:00.90).
