An El Cajon man whose throat was slashed by a knife-wielding assailant Saturday is expected to survive, hospital officials said Sunday.
Arthur Miranda Jr., 24, was listed in “serious but stable” condition at Sharp Memorial Hospital Sunday and will recover, a nursing supervisor said.
Christopher Labell McElvana, 18, a transient, was being held in county jail on suspicion of attempted murder.
Witnesses told police the stabbing occurred while Miranda, McElvana and an unidentified person were quarreling on the porch of a home in the 500 block of Van Houten Avenue.
