Greg Norman holed a 97-yard pitching wedge for an eagle-2 on the first playoff hole to win the third annual $150,000 Epson Stats Match at Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Fla.
Norman, the 1988 scoring average leader, earned $89,167 for his victory in the nine-hole tournament featuring the leaders of the PGA Tour’s statistical categories last year.
Ken Green, who birdied the seventh and eighth holes to pull into a tie with Norman, finished second and collected $29,167. Both players recorded a three-under-par 33s in the nine-hole, medal play tournament.
