Two former top officers of Regina Co. pleaded guilty to defrauding investors in the troubled vacuum cleaner firm of more than $100 million. Former Regina Chairman Donald D. Sheelen and former Chief Financial Officer Vincent P. Golden told U.S. District Judge Nicholas H. Politan that they knowingly misled stockholders and the Securities and Exchange Commission by falsifying company records. In an agreement with Assistant U.S. Atty. Gail H. Nichols, the two men entered guilty pleas to mail fraud and securities fraud charges. Each could face five years in jail and $250,000 in fines.
