Bell-Jeff Upends Downey, 66-62 to Win Own Tournament Title

Point guard Chris Dyer scored a game-high 20 points as Bell-Jeff High defeated Downey, 66-62, in the championship game of the Bell-Jeff boys’ basketball tournament Friday night at Bell-Jeff.
Dyer scored 5 points in the decisive third quarter, in which Bell-Jeff outscored Downey, 18-7. Nick Sanderson scored 6 of his 16 points and Greg Dunn had 6 of his 8 in the quarter for the Guards.
Ray Witt added 14 points for Bell-Jeff (11-1).
