Albert Einstein noted that if peace were to come, it would come because the peoples of the world want peace. Stanley Sheinbaum and Rita Hauser are examples of Einstein’s prophecy.
There are those who may argue that Sheinbaum may be another Chamberlain returning from Munich announcing peace in our time. I don’t think Sheinbaum is that optimistic, but he was instrumental in making a breakthrough. The PLO has renounced terrorism; the PLO has accepted United Nations Resolutions 242 and 338 and affirmed Israel’s right to exist.
Military resolutions to the Middle East have failed in the past. Let’s give peace a chance.
