Local News in Brief : Sewer Work at Busy Intersection

The congested intersection of Imperial Highway and Prairie Avenue in Inglewood moved closer to gridlock this week because of sewer work being done in conjunction with Century Freeway construction.
Traffic on Imperial Highway between Prairie and Doty Avenue will be restricted to two lanes in each direction, according to Ted Ragsac, assistant highway engineer for the state Department of Transportation.
Once the sewer work is completed in early December, Caltrans plans to build a detour in the area to divert traffic for more than a year while freeway bridge construction is under way, he said.
