Seve Ballesteros of Spain overcame 2 bogeys on his first four holes for a closing-round 71 and a 3-shot victory in the Visa Taiheiyo Club Masters golf tournament at Gotenba, Japan.
Ballesteros has won tournaments in seven countries this year.
At Tokyo, Chi Chi Rodriguez started with a birdie and finished with another en route to a 69 and a 2-stroke victory in the Japan Pro Senior Golf Championship.
In a women’s tournament at Sasebo, Japan, Laura Davies of Britain beat American Jane Geddes on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff. Davies parred the 487-yard, par-5 eighth hole; Geddes bogeyed it.
