Cohu, a test instrument and video equipment manufacturer, reported a profit of $715,000 on sales of $8.8 million for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, up from a profit of $455,000 on sales of $7.4 million over the same period a year ago.

For the nine months ended Sept. 30, Cohu reported a profit of $2 million on sales of $25.8 million, up from a profit of $1.2 million on sales of $21.8 million over the same quarter last year.
