The North Korean government honored 173 Cuban athletes in a gesture of gratitude for Cuba’s boycott of the Seoul Olympics.
The official daily newspaper of North Korea said the awards were presented to a visiting Cuban delegation by Foreign Minister Kim Yong Nam during a ceremony in Pyongyang.
