‘Crossing the Line’

Out of all the issues in our country today, the most important is that of the plight of illegal immigrants. The INS seems oblivious of the fact that illegal aliens are human beings, too. All that is important to the INS is the fact that those people are breaking the law. There are organizations and communities in Los Angeles that help these people and all the INS can think of is that they are breaking the law also. As a member of one such community, I believe that it is more important to help others than to obey laws which call for us to ignore their needs. Where have the morals of our society gone?
