Coca-Cola Enterprises’ profit rose 13.2% to $36.1 million. Operating revenue advanced to $1.02 billion from $876.9 million. The Atlanta-based soft drink bottling company attributed the gain to increased volume, lower net pricing, a reduction in the effective tax rate and the inclusion of bottling company acquisitions completed in the latter half of 1987 and the first quarter of 1988.
