A man who was allegedly trying to plant a bomb in his girlfriend’s car because he was angry with her was injured today when the device exploded, authorities said.
The man, identified as Roger Rush, 33, was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena where he was listed in good condition with an arm injury, hospital administrators said. Authorities were checking out reports of a second bomb in the trunk of the car parked in a supermarket lot in the 6300 block of York Boulevard, Los Angeles police said. An investigation is continuing.
