A 32-year-old San Diego woman was stabbed to death Monday, and her boyfriend was arrested on suspicion of murder, police said.
At about 11 a.m. police responded to a call that a woman was being assaulted in the 1900 block of K Street, said police spokesman Bill Robinson. When the officers arrived they found Helene Lofton lying in the courtyard with multiple stab wounds, he said. Lofton was transported to UCSD Medical Center, where she died shortly after noon, according to a coroner’s spokesman.
Lofton’s boyfriend, Ripple Briggs, 37, was found nearby and arrested. He is being held in County Jail without bail, said a jail spokeswoman.
