Monroe 47, Grant 6--Running back Curtis Scott rushed for 148 yards and 4 touchdowns in 26 carries as the Vikings scored on their first 4 possessions. Scott carried the ball 22 times in Monroe’s first 26 plays.
Chris Wallace completed 5 of 7 for 114 yards, including 109 to wide receiver Terry London, who had 4 receptions and 2 touchdowns.
In last week’s 28-7 victory over North Hollywood, London returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown. He nearly duplicated that feat against Grant, taking the kickoff 50 yards to set up Monroe’s first score. London, a senior, finished with 76 yards in kick returns.
Grant’s 5-play, 94-yard drive in the fourth quarter capped by Marlowe Lewis’ 29-yard run averted a shutout.
