LAPD’s Secretive Investigations Unit: Watching as Suspects Commit Crimes
- Share via
Not having a high regard for the LAPD in the first place, I am dismayed but not surprised at the report of how the SIS sits back and watches crimes being committed, not intervening even when citizens are being feloniously assaulted. What I can’t understand is why the members of this group have not been brought to justice.
These officers are sworn to uphold the law. Allowing crimes to be committed in their presence seems to make them accessories before and during the fact. Morally, this makes them just as reprehensible, just as guilty as the other criminals--the ones who actually commit the crime.
