Death Toll Rises to 200 in Bangladesh Floods

DHAKA, Bangladesh — The death toll from two weeks of devastating floods in Bangladesh soared to nearly 200 today, officials said.
About 70 people have drowned or been killed by snakes since Monday morning, the officials told reporters. During floods, snakes and people compete for safe perches above the swirling waters.
