Former Poly High Back Cut by Dallas Cowboys

Craig Ellis, a Poly High alumnus who replaced Marcus Allen as the Raiders’ starting running back during the players’ strike last fall, was waived by the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday as the National Football League team reduced its roster to the mandatory 60-player limit.

Ellis did not carry the ball or catch a pass during three preseason games.
