Group Buys More Shares of House of Fabrics Stock

A group led by FMR Corp., the Boston-based parent company of the giant Fidelity group of mutual funds, said it raised its stake in House of Fabrics to 14.3% from 13.7%.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the group said it bought 38,100 additional shares of House of Fabrics, a Sherman Oaks-based chain of fabric stores, from July 5-13.
The purchases, at $18.44 to $18.74 a share, lifted the group’s overall holdings to 940,700 shares. House of Fabrics has 6.58 million total common shares outstanding.
