Easterly Leads Katella to Summer Hoop Final

Joni Easterly scored 17 points to pace Katella High School past Alemany, 34-30, in the semifinals of the Bell-Jeff Summer Hoop Finale Thursday night at Bellarmine Jefferson High School in Burbank.
Katella will play Morningside in the championship game at 8:10 tonight.
In the other semifinal, Lisa Leslie scored 28 points in Morningside’s 52-48 victory over Brea-Olinda. Freshman Jody Anton had 14 points and Tammy Blackburn 13 for Brea.
