Summer enrollment at Golden West College is up 3%, said Thomas Kosuth, dean of admissions, records and guidance.
Kosuth reported that summer enrollment at the community college is 7,013, compared to 6,810 students enrolled in the 1987 summer session. Registration in non-credit summer programs at Golden West is also up, college officials said. They said about 4,000 more people than last year registered for community services programs.
College officials said Golden West also appears headed for an increase in enrollment this fall. Applications for admission to the fall semester are about 40% higher than usual, officials said.
Fall registration by appointment will be held Aug. 10-17, and walk-in registration will be Aug. 18-19. Fall semester classes begin Aug. 22.
Registration information may be obtained by calling (714) 895-8306.
