Misuraca of OCC Signs With Twins

Mike Misuraca of Orange Coast College has been signed as a free agent by the Minnesota Twins, said Carmen Misuraca, his father.

Misuraca, a shortstop and pitcher for Orange Coast, hit .358 and had a 5-3 record as a sophomore last season. He had signed a letter of intent with Cal State Fullerton before opting for professional baseball. He was named All-Orange Empire Conference in 1987.

In 1986 at Glendora High School, Misuraca was named the most valuable player in the Baseline League. He was also named first-team All-Southern Section.
