Shortstop Mark Razook of Cal State Fullerton has signed to play with the Seattle Mariners, Seattle scout Ken Houp said Monday.
Razook, a junior, hit .246 with 1 home run, 11 doubles and 27 runs-batted in this season. He will report to the Mariners’ Class A team in Wausau, Wis., at the end of the week.
Razook attended South Hills High School in West Covina, where he was the athlete of the year in 1985. He was drafted by the New York Yankees out of high school but elected to play at Fullerton.
