Dave Schutt, starting middle linebacker on the Wyoming football team, was killed by a train in Laramie, Wyo., authorities said.
Schutt, 21, was killed instantly when he was struck by a westbound train as he was crossing one of the main tracks, police said.
Schutt, an Evergreen, Colo., native who would have been a junior this fall, was in Laramie attending summer classes.
