Lucky Stores Inc. said it has agreed to sell its 38 supermarkets in Arizona to Phoenix-based ABCO Markets. The sale will increase the ABCO chain to 75 stores, making it one of the three largest supermarket chains in Arizona. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Lucky, based in Dublin, Calif., agreed about three weeks ago to be acquired for $2.5 billion in cash by American Stores Co., of Salt Lake City, which owns the Alpha Beta chain.
