“Just call him le Dieu” : French President Francois Mitterrand has acquired a new moniker, thanks to a nightly television puppet show watched by millions of French viewers that pokes fun at politicians. Mitterrand--often called “The Sphinx” during his 40-year political career--should now be called “God.” “Keep it simple--just call me God,” says a frog puppet who plays the 71-year-old Socialist president in the nightly “Bebete (Dummy) Show.”
