A San Diego woman was being held Monday on suspicion of stabbing her boyfriend to death Sunday night.
Police Sgt. Nate Caplan said that about 9:20 p.m. Sunday officers responding to a call found Paul Robert Ramirez lying wounded on the floor of his apartment in the 3500 block Fairmount Avenue. He was taken to Mercy Hospital, where he died a short time later, Caplan said.
Witnesses told police that, before the stabbing, Ramirez had been arguing with his girlfriend, Mary Ann Bankhead, 25.
