Valley Circle Drive On-Ramp to Be Closed

The westbound Valley Circle Drive on-ramp to the Ventura Freeway will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays for about one week beginning Tuesday as part of the freeway widening project, the state Department of Transportation has announced.
The closing is needed to construct a temporary frontage road on the north side of the freeway near the entrance to the gated city of Hidden Hills, said Dick Kermode, Caltrans senior resident engineer.
Early next year, the frontage road will be available to eastbound motorists seeking to bypass the freeway during the 4-month reconstruction of 3,200 feet of pavement near Valley Circle, he said.
After the reconstruction, the frontage road will become the freeway’s right shoulder.
The westbound Valley Circle off-ramp was closed May 19 and will remain closed for five more weeks, Caltrans officials said.
