How the Poll Was Conducted
The Orange County Poll, conducted by Mark Baldassare and Associates of Irvine with field work by Discovery Research Group, surveyed 600 registered voters May 11-14 using a random sample of listed and unlisted telephone numbers.
An equal number of men and women were interviewed. The polling was conducted during weekday evening hours and weekend days.
The margin of error in the poll is plus or minus 4% at the 95% confidence level. That means it is 95% certain that the results are within four percentage points of what they would be if every Orange County registered voter were interviewed.
