Quik Pix, a custom color photographic laboratory in Buena Park, reported that net income for the second quarter rose 77%, to $20,496 from $11,564 for the comparable year-earlier period. Sales for the three months ended March 31 totaled $577,720, a slight decline from the $585,541 posted a year ago. For the first half, net income was $93,677, contrasted with a loss of $46,790 for the six-month period last year. Sales rose 13%, to $1.2 million from $1.1 million. In December, 1987, Quik Pix was merged into Redwood Financial, which then changed its name to Quik Pix.
