It’s a weekend when the true sports connoisseur needs a remote control--a second TV wouldn’t hurt either--to follow all that the small screen has to offer.
For horse racing fans, however, all that matters today is the Kentucky Derby. ABC tracks the first leg of the Triple Crown from Churchill Downs starting at 1:30 p.m. (7)(3)(10)(42).
CBS tries to lure viewers with pro basketball’s playoffs. Today the Seattle SuperSonics and Denver Nuggets meet at 12:30 p.m. (2)(8).
On Sunday, CBS has the Cleveland Cavaliers-Chicago Bulls game at 10 a.m., with the teams due at 12:30 p.m. to be announced.
In baseball, the Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals play today at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 11:10 a.m. on Channel 11. The California Angels and Toronto Blue Jays take the field tonight at 7 on Z cable.
