PLAINS, Ga. — Billy Carter says he is continuing to receive weekly treatments for pancreatic cancer and will continue to fight the disease even though he has been told that it is fatal.
“I haven’t given up yet,” the brother of former President Jimmy Carter said in an interview broadcast Friday on ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America.”
“I still think I’m going to beat it, you know. I’m going to try everything. . . . I’m going to my seventh treatment next week, and if he doesn’t do any good I’m going to another one, and then I’m going to try a voodoo doctor, you know, and a snake doctor. I’m going to fight it as long as I can.”
