French publisher Hachette SA said its CITH Acquisition Co. unit has raised its tender offer for Grolier Inc. to $24 per share from $21. The new bid for the encyclopedia and reference book company would be worth about $474 million. Danbury, Conn.-based Grolier last week rejected the $21-per-share bid, saying the $415 million offered was not a full and fair price.
