Jeff Jurgemeyer, Scott Massey Receive South Coast Honors

Jeff Jurgemeyer, a senior forward at Mission Viejo High School, was named the South Coast League’s offensive player of the year, and Scott Massey, a defender at El Toro, was named the league’s defensive player of the year in a vote of the league’s boys’ soccer coaches. Jurgemeyer missed part of the season with a separated shoulder but came back to help Mission Viejo, the South Coast League champion, reach the Southern Section 3-A quarterfinals and finish with a 17-5-4 record. Massey helped El Toro to an 8-6-4 record, third-best in the league. FIRST TEAM
