A 59-year-old Carson man was critically injured Saturday in a fire that severely damaged his home, officials said.
Aldo Fragale, who received second- and third-degree burns over 50% of his body, was in critical condition Saturday at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he was taken after the fire gutted the living room and bedroom of the house at 309 E. 213th St., said Sgt. Ward Finch of the Carson Sheriff’s Department.
Fragale, who lives with his 18-year-old daughter, was home alone when the fire broke out at 10:15 a.m., Finch said. County fire officials said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
