A Riverside County teen-ager who was reportedly abused by his father for years was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for shooting the father to death. Prosecutors, contending that the youth had planned the death, had sought a murder conviction against Stephan Urban, 17, of Moreno Valley, who had admitted killing Jerry Urban, on March 7, 1987. One Riverside Superior Court juror, refusing to give his name, told a Riverside Press-Enterprise reporter, “We didn’t believe he intended to kill his father.”
