Fredric J. Feldman, 48, has been named president and chief executive at Microgenics Corp., a biotechnology company based in Concord, Calif., that develops and markets a new generation of medical diagnostic test kits for hospitals and laboratories. Feldman replaces Bert Voorhees, the outgoing president and chief operating officer, and assumes chief executive responsibilities from David Rubinfien. Rubinfien will remain at Microgenics as chairman. Feldman previously was president of Instrumentation Laboratory, a diagnostics systems company and division of the Fisher Scientific Group.
